THE LOVELY SAVALAS is a band of talented and breezy Italian musicians. They combine catchy and engaging tunes to create refined arrangements in an original blend of alternative rock. Showcasing an intense live experience, they cut their teeth touring in the U.S., England, and Italy, taking part in festivals, opening for nationally known artists, and performing in front of large audiences and TV shows.

The immediacy of their music inspired some of the reatest alternative musicians, such as NICK OLIVERI (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Mondo Generator), MARTYN LENOBLE (Porno For Pyros, Jane's Addiction, Dave Gahan), SCOTT MCLOUD (Girls Against Boys, Paramount Style), MASSIMO PUPILLO (ZU, Mike Patton), XABIER IRIONDO (Uncode Duello, Afterhours), to join them in the studio and play. The result is PORNOCRACY, an album featuring a fine mixture of genres, styles, and trenchant lyrics. PORNOCRACY has numerous potential radio hits, such as TRUST NO ONE, FASHION GIRL, DESERT OF DECEMBER, SHINE ON ME TONIGHT, DIVE. etc., and will be released in early 2011.

At a conceptual level PORNOCRACY is supposed to be a musical fresco of our times, both as for its free rock sound and for its content. The reference is not limited to the Italian political scenario, however anticipated by the lyrics of the songs recorded in July 2009, but it describes with irony the bewilderment of the individual and the globalized post-industrial society, fuelled by the feeling of insecurity and by a television model, which spreads misleading and illusory ideals of immediate success at all costs, beyond quality and merits. A similar fate is reserved to information, as expressed by the paradox stated in the song Free Disinformation: "We've lost the vision in the age of information". Cristiano Carotti designed the CD artwork. Make sure you check out this soon to be classic record, and don't miss one of the band's upcoming shows in a city near you.
